Is the Porsche 911 at an evolutionary dead end? Enthusiasts have been asking that question for almost as long as the 911 has existed. But even if, mechanically speaking, the car always seems to have more to give, you have to wonder how long the 911 is going to last in light of Porsche’s current product strategy. The 911’s GT-oriented customers conceivably could be satisfied with a Panamera or, rumor has it, a Panamera coupe. And the hardcore enthusiast is arguably better served by the Cayman.
