Geneva Motor Show: Alfa Romeo finally launches new stylish family hatchback, the Giulietta

Filed under: Alfa Romeo , Geneva Motor Show , Hatchbacks , News Due to go on sale in the UK from May, Alfa is showing off the top performing Quadrifoglio Verde model, which offers 235bhp from its turbocharged 1.8-litre engine. There’ll also be a 1.4-litre MultiAir and JTDM turbodiesel available when the car goes on sale for real, all fitted with either a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic gearbox. All engines are fitted with the Fiat Group’s stop-start technology to improve emissions. Based on the new Bravo platform, Alfa believes the Giulietta offers road holding and handling dynamics to match the

best available in a competitive class. And even though it’s compact, a poke around inside reveales a platform with plenty of room for occupants and an impressive 350 litres of boot space. The interior quality – often a problem for Alfa – seems a stylishly fitted cut above the competition too. If they get the pricing right, the Giulietta will be one to watch out for when it goes on sale in May.   Permalink | Email this | Comments
