Robot Infiltrates Detroit Auto Show

Kia marketing gimmick, or first wave of the coming apocalypse? Monday at the Detroit Auto Show there was a tiny Robot, about four feet tall found near the Kia show stand. The robot, who appeared in print ads for the Kia Soul, is allegedly connected to a viral marketing campaign. The Kia public relations staff would not give us any details beyond that we would see more of the robot in the coming weeks. But that’s the official line. For those of us ever fearful of a robot-ruled future as seen in the Terminator series of documentary films, this robot is nothing but bad news. Clearly the machines have already taken over the Korean automaker and are forcing the PR

staff to keep quiet about their plans for global domination and future human enslavement and extermination. This was no cute publicity stunt, but a scouting mission to do reconnaissance on our automobile industry and to look for ways to exploit the transportation industry in the coming robot-human war. Sure that little wind-up toy seems nice, and even made friends with Bibendum, the cheery Michelin mascot, but that’s all part of the plan to lull us humans into a false sense of security. Or maybe it was just a very small actor in a robot suit. But we’re still not letting our guards down. No related posts.
