If you recognize the Valmet name, it’s likely because you know the company as the contract manufacturer for the Porsche Boxster and Cayman. While that might be a good gig, the contract with Porsche isn’t going to last forever, so now is as good a time as any to drum up new business, and when a company such as Valmet produces a concept, the intent largely is to demonstrate technological and manufacturing prowess to the major manufacturers rather than wow the press or public. To that end, Valmet’s showcase at the Geneva auto show is the Eva, a three-door 2+2 hatch powered by a fully electric powertrain.
